Active Participation of WeGO Members at the WeGO e-Government Training Program 2017: Seoul Program

WeGO successfully held the WeGO e-Government Training Program 2017: Seoul Program from March 26 - April 2, 2017. 12 Public officials from WeGO member cities Bangkok (Thailand), Jakarta (Indonesia), Kampala (Uganda), Mexico City (Mexico), San Fernando La Union (Philippines), La Union Province (Philippines), Sokoto State (Nigeria), Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia), and Yakutsk (Russia) took part in the week-long capacity building program organized by WeGO in cooperation with the Seoul Human Resource Development Center (SHRDC).
This year’s program focused on Smart City technologies, IT startups, Clean Construction system, Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT), and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) based on the best practices of WeGO President City Seoul. In addition to learning from experts from Seoul City and the private sector, the participants learned from each other as they presented their cities' representative e-Government technologies. The training program was complemented by technical tours to the Bukchon IoT Living Lab, Big Data Campus, Seoul Data Center, Seoul Transport Operation and Information Service (TOPIS), and the S-PLEXCENTER.
WeGO holds capacity building programs for WeGO members regularly, and the next training program will once again take place in Seoul from November 12-19. Please contact the WeGO Secretariat if you are interested in applying for this training program.
