The World Smart Sustainable Cities Organization (WeGO) successfully hosted the 2026 Sustainable Smart City Champions Session in Seoul, as part of the Smart Life Week event co-hosted by WeGO and the Seoul Metropolitan Government. The session brought together youth awardees, global experts, and city leaders under the theme “Youth x Experts: A Dialogue on Smart Cities”.

The World Smart Sustainable Cities Organization (WeGO), in partnership with its President City, Seoul Metropolitan Government, hosted the Seoul Smart City Prize Ceremony in Seoul. Outstanding smart city initiatives dedicated to advancing human-centric and technological innovation were honored at the ceremony. Drawing from 210 submissions from Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, Middle East, North America and Oceania, WeGO recognized 21 winners across the Tech-InnovaCity, Human-CentriCity, Special Mention, and Leadership categories for driving exceptional smart city advancements.

The World Smart Sustainable Cities Organization (WeGO) was invited to take part in the Global Symbiosis Consortium’s Performance Sharing Workshop, held at the Novotel Ambassador Seoul Dongdaemun. Ms. Eunbyul Elena Cho, WeGO’s Program Director, delivered a keynote speech to students and faculty from partner universities in the Consortium across the country.

The World Smart Sustainable Cities Organization (WeGO) took part in the 50th General Assembly of the HUFS International Model United Nations (HIMUN), hosted by Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) at Obama Hall on the university’s Seoul Campus. WeGO has been invited to the Assembly for two consecutive years.

Reflecting its growing global impact, the 4th Edition of the Prize received 210 submissions from 142 cities across 56 countries, spanning Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, North America, and Oceania.

The forum brought together AI standardization experts and practitioners from Japan, Korea, and China, representing academia, industry, testing and certification bodies, as well as representatives from international standardization organizations.
