The WeGO Sustainable Smart City Champions Program launched its 2026 workshop series in Geneva, Cairo, and Baku, bringing together about 100 participants. Focusing on today’s housing challenges and the long-term future of urban housing, the workshops examined how international commitments can be translated into local action through governance, institutional coordination, data-driven approaches, and community engagement.

The World Cities Summit is a biennial international event that serves as a global platform for city leaders, policy makers, and industry experts to gather and share with each other their experience and challenges related to urban solutions and smart sustainable development.

The conference brought together city leaders, government officials, and international organizations to strengthen global cooperation and exchange perspectives on sustainable urban development, innovation, and international partnership.

The WeGO Secretariat welcomed a delegation of sixteen MBA students from the University of Baltimore’s Global Business Program in Baltimore, United States. The visit was designed to introduce WeGO’s role as a worldwide network and provide the students with insights into international organizations and strategic decision-making in the context of smart sustainable city development.
