WeGO is excited to announce, in collaboration with the Global Fund for Cities Development, the FMDV-WeGO Smart City Study Tour, May 28-31 in Paris, France and Brussels, Belgium. The program will include a two-day study visit in Paris and the Using Data to Empower Cities and their Citizens workshop of the Uraía Citizenship Series in Brussels. Particularly, FMDV and host partners have expressed their interest in establishing tangible partnerships with Asian stakeholders.
Study Visit Program
This exciting opportunity for WeGO member cities in Asia will allow cities to meet with French and European partners in order to foster direct discussion on smart city challenges and solutions. During the first part of the program, matchmaking will occur in order to connect these cities with European partners with relevant and effective solutions through special matchmaking meetings and project site visits in Paris on May 28-29. The workshop to follow on May 30-31 is an annual event organized by Uraia Platform, collaboration established between FMDV and UN-Habitat to innovate local public management, and expects 100 international participants. It will focus on the topic of the use of data for better city management and urban services to produce a positive impact on people’s lives.
