Originally based on an intricate Excel-spreadsheet, the CeDS was created to enable city officials with limited ICT knowledge to evaluate the status of their city’s e-Government maturity level and conceptualize Master Plans for city e-Government without consulting outside experts.

SEOUL – WeGO has concluded an MOU with Smart City Institute Japan (SCI-J), Japan’s only smart city organization, and has agreed to implement an engagement plan with the G20’s Global Smart Cities Alliance (GSCA).
The 1st WeGO Awards were held at the 2nd WeGO General Assembly in Barcelona in 2012. Local governments competed with their projects in the following categories: Services, Efficiency, Open City, Urban Management, Digital Divide. Out of 47 applications in total, 10 were selected as winners.
