WeGO Engages Aspiring Young Professionals at the 2026 International Career Fair
[Seoul, July 20, 2026] – The World Smart Sustainable Cities Organization (WeGO) participated in the 2026 International Career Fair which was hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and held at Seoul City Hall, engaging with university students and young job seekers interested in pursuing careers in international organizations.
During the main session, Program Manager Mr. Lii Inn Tan delivered a presentation introducing WeGO’s vision, role, and key initiatives. He highlighted the organization’s efforts to advance inclusive and sustainable smart city development and strengthen international cooperation among cities and other stakeholders. The presentation also provided participants interested in smart cities and AI technologies with a broader understanding of the sector and encouraged them to explore future career and engagement opportunities in the field.
In addition, WeGO operated an information booth where the WeGO team engaged directly with the attendees of the event. The WeGO team engaged participants through on-site outreach activities to introduce WeGO and its programs including the WeGO Sustainable Smart City Champions Workshop & Global Youth Award Ceremony, an upcoming program for young people and professionals interested in smart and sustainable city development. Through direct conversations with attendees, the team shared information about the workshop, and encouraged interested youth to register. These outreach efforts generated strong interest and led to numerous pre-registrations for the program.
Attracting a broad audience interested in careers with international organizations, the 2026 International Career Fair offered WeGO a meaningful platform to showcase its work, introduce WeGO’s flagship programs including the Seoul Smart City Prize, the WeGO Sustainable Smart City Champions Workshop & Global Youth Award Ceremony to a wider audience, and connect directly with participants interested in international cooperation and smart city development.
