MAIN ACTIVITIES
WeGO undertakes the main activities as described below.
Throughout the year, WeGO engages in a wide variety of conferences and expos locally and globally, which WeGO members can benefit from in a number of ways. These include exhibition space, matchmaking, sponsorship, and speakership opportunities.
Capacity-building is a crucial component of WeGO programs for the advancement of digital capacity and bridging the digital divide. By organizing training programs, WeGO hopes to provide its members with rich learning opportunities, promote the use of ICT in public administration, and foster collaboration among cities.
The WeGO Smart City Driver is WeGO’s overarching framework for cities to help plan, finance, and deploy their smart city projects through a range of customized solution packages and matchmaking with strategic partners that can assist in citywide implementation.
WeGO’s main governing bodies, the General Assembly and Executive Committee,
meet triennially and annually, respectively, to make the main decisions related to WeGO.
Regional networks play a key role in facilitating the smart city development of local governments around the world. WeGO works with regional network to create synergies and help cities advance.
