Co-creation of Empowering Smart Cities through Citizen Engagement Webinar
Chengdu East Asia Regional Office provided smart city capacity-building programs every year since the establishment of its office in 2014. This year, we aim to reinforce the importance of building sustainable, citizen-centric smart cities where citizen engagement leads to the implementation of services in accordance with the specified needs of local communities. Acknowledging that there is no one-size-fits-all solution, we are presented with myriads of innovative measures that facilitate citizen participation. Representatives from different continents will share diverse methods that enabled them to streamline the adoption of policies and services posed by the residents. Through the webinar, participants will gain a fuller view of stakeholder maps, and learn about the practice of public–private-people partnerships that produce exemplary citizen-centric resolutions.
