WeGO’s President City Announces the Seoul Smart City Prize to Diplomatic Corps in Korea
SEOUL – WeGO and its Secretary General, Ms. Jung-sook Park, took part in the Seoul Spring Reception for Diplomatic Corps Event organized by Seoul Metropolitan Government at the SEBITSEOM Seoul Floating Island to present the city’s key initiatives for the coming year. The event gathered over 100 representatives from embassies, including Ambassadors and heads of Diplomatic Missions to Korea, as well as other relevant institutions and stakeholders.
During the event, WeGO’s president, Mayor Oh Se-hoon, presented the Seoul Smart City Prize, an initiative the Seoul Metropolitan Government and WeGO have established to promote innovative and inclusive smart city models supporting the vulnerable groups in the digitalized era. Several embassies have already shared their interest in the initiative with WeGO’s Secretary General. Through partnering with Diplomatic Missions in Korea WeGO looks forward to receiving proposals from local governments, corporations, institutions, and individuals from all over the globe.
Applications for the Seoul Smart City Prize are currently open via the official website of the Seoul Smart City Prize (www.seoulsmartcityprize.com).
