WeGO and the Royal Thai Embassy Explore Opportunities for Smart City Collaboration
Seoul, May 27th, 2025 — As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen international cooperation and expand its global city network, Secretary General Jeong-Kee Kim of the World Smart Sustainable Cities Organization (WeGO) held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Korea, at the Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul on May 27.
The meeting centered around WeGO’s plan with the aim of fostering closer ties and initiating collaborative projects in the field of smart and sustainable urban development. Secretary General Kim sought the Embassy’s support in engaging with the local governments in Thailand and identifying areas for future cooperation.
Ambassador Sangrat welcomed WeGO’s initiative and expressed interest in strengthening collaboration between Thai cities and international partners. Both sides agreed to continue discussions and explore specific opportunities for cooperation. Through the meeting, WeGO had the opportunity to present its key initiatives and plans to the Thai Embassy and laid the foundation for stronger engagement with Thai cities.
