WeGO Advances Smart City Collaboration in Taipei and Kaohsiung
Taipei and Kaohsiung, March 21st, 2025 — The World Smart Sustainable Cities Organization (WeGO) successfully concluded its mission to Taipei and Kaohsiung from March 17 to 21, 2025, strengthening partnerships with various local governments, governmental agencies, and institutions to promote smart city collaboration and innovation by attending the Smart City Summit & Expo 2025.
In Taipei, WeGO represented by the Program Manager, Mr. Lii Inn Tan, conducted a strategic bilateral meeting with the Taipei City Government at Taipei City Hall. The Department of Information Technology showed strong interest in the Seoul Smart City Prize. A courtesy visit was also made by the Program Manager, Mr. Lii Inn Tan, to the Malaysian Friendship and Trade Center (MFTC) where a bilateral meeting was held together with the President of MFTC. The President acknowledged the value of WeGO’s work and pledged to promote the Seoul Smart City Prize and WeGO’s activities across networks in Malaysia.
While in Kaohsiung, WeGO had the opportunity to meet with the Kaohsiung CIty Government, which is a member of WeGO, to further promote the Seoul Smart City Prize, the Smart Life Week in Seoul, and the upcoming events of WeGO.
The events in both Taipei and Kaohsiung allowed WeGO to further promote its flagship programs and Seoul Smart City Prize to a wide range of entities, including governmental agencies, smart technology solution corporations, and institutions from different parts of the world.
