In partnership with its President City, Seoul Metropolitan Government, the World Smart Sustainable Cities Organization (WeGO) hosted the third Seoul Smart City Prize Ceremony at COEX Convention & Exhibition Center in Seoul. The ceremony recognized outstanding smart city initiatives that prioritize human-centric and technological innovation.

The WeGO Sustainable Smart City Champions workshop on “Youth, Leadership, and Sustainable Transformations” marked the first overseas offline workshop of the year 2025. It was successfully held at the United Nations Headquarters and the University of Geneva for a two-day session on June 24 and 25, 2025.

Building upon WeGO’s engagements with ITU, UN-Habitat, and UN–ODET, WeGO continued building partnerships with Geneva-based international organizations during a recent mission to Switzerland. During this mission, WeGO representatives engaged in a series of high-level meetings with key stakeholders, including United Nations officials, city leaders, and academic institutions.

The WSIS+20 Forum High-Level and AI for Good events brought together high-ranking officials from national governments, the private sector, civil society, academia, the technical community, and international organizations. The events aimed to promote people-centered, development-oriented digital governance, with a particular focus on harnessing artificial intelligence to address global challenges.
