The World Cities Summit (WCS) 2022 officially kicked off with an opening remark delivered by Desmond Lee, Minister of National Development and Minister-in-Charge of Social Services Integration in Singapore. The theme for this year’s WCS is “Liveable and Sustainable Cities: Emerging Stronger”. It represents the ambition to not only survive shocks like the COVID-19 pandemic but also to build back even stronger and more resilient than before.

While attending the World Cities Summit 2022, the WeGO Secretariat had its first bilateral meeting with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat).
