Join us in shaping the future of WeGO and smart sustainable cities development
“Smart Cities for People: Building Peaceful and Inclusive Urban Futures”
Welcome to São Paulo!
The 7th WeGO General Assembly will take place in São Paulo, Brazil, on 26-27 November, 2026. Under the theme “Smart Cities for People: Building Peaceful and Inclusive Urban Futures”, this important event will reflect on the role of smart cities in building a more sustainable, human-centric, and inclusive future.
The event will feature a rich and diverse program designed to engage participants from around the world, including the main General Assembly session, a Mayors’ Meeting, Smart City Index sessions, thematic and parallel smart city panels, as well as technical and cultural visits. Through thematic panels on urban intelligence, innovations for urban safety, and digital inclusion, the event will serve as a platform to reflect on global urban challenges and solutions.
Making history as the first-ever gathering of WeGO members and partners in Latin America, this General Assembly marks a significant milestone for our organization. As a global metropolis, São Paulo provides an unparalleled setting to convene and discuss the development of smart cities. The city was awarded in the Human-CentriCity category of the Seoul Smart City Prize 2023 for a project designed to improve accessibility and bridge the digital divide for individuals with disabilities. Advancing human-centric initiatives, São Paulo has demonstrated a strong commitment to inclusive and sustainable urban development.
