Wonpil Jang

Wonpil Jang is a veteran attorney with deep expertise in real estate law, corporate legal affairs, and financial mediation, and has over two decades of experience in legal practice, government advisory and civic leadership. He currently serves as the Managing Attorney of the Busan Office of Youngjin Law Firm, where he leads a wide range of litigation and legal consulting services for public institutions, corporations, and residential associations.

Mr. Jang  built a strong foundation in litigation and legal consulting at Baeksang Law Firm and served as a public legal aid attorney at the Korea Legal Aid Corporation. Over the years, he has been appointed as legal counsel for numerous governmental and civic organizations, including the Seoul Songpa District Office, the Seoul Bar Association’s SME Advisory Committee, and the National Federation of Apartment Resident Representatives.

Mr. Jang has led numerous successful legal cases involving construction defects, auction-related disputes, and real estate development and distribution conflicts. His notable achievements include representing residents in high-profile apartment defect litigation, resolving complex auction-related claims between contractors, tenants, and previous owners, and successfully mediating disputes in large-scale urban redevelopment and real estate project financing cases.

Beyond his legal practice, Mr. Jang has held advisory and leadership roles in political and civic spheres. He previously chaired the Environmental Subcommittee of the Grand National Party’s Special Committee, and currently serves as the Chair of the Korean Global Youth Council (KGYC), a network aimed at strengthening ties among overseas Korean youth. He is also an active lecturer on urban renewal law, delivering training sessions at municipal offices such as Gangnam-gu, Mapo-gu, and Seodaemun-gu.

Mr. Jang holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Law from Seoul National University, and completed advanced programs in Intellectual Property Law at Korea University Law School, and in Real Estate Policy at both Dongguk and Konkuk Universities. He also completed the Executive Program in Media and Public Relations at Yonsei University.

With his broad interdisciplinary background and experience across legal, public, and academic sectors, Mr. Jang continues to contribute to legal reform and public education in Korea’s rapidly evolving urban and real estate landscape.
