WeGO met the Delegation from Hue City
Seoul, October 19, 2023 – The WeGO Secretariat, represented by the Head of the Program Department (Ms. Eunbyul Cho) and Asian Partnership Lead (Mr. Lii Inn Tan), met the delegation of Hue City headed by the Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Council (Ms. Le Thi Thanh Binh) during their visit to Seoul from Vietnam.
The visit of the delegation was under the program titled “1st Invitation Training Program for Hue Culture and Tourism Smart City Development in Vietnam” in which the government officials of Hue City visited Seoul as part of their capacity-building program. Throughout the visit, the delegation is to gain insights related to initiatives in Korea, ranging from smart technology to urban tourism.
During the WeGO session, a presentation on WeGO’s activities was delivered by the Head of the Program Department of WeGO to the delegation to strengthen their understanding of the organization in promoting smart sustainable development and assisting cities’ digital transformation. Several flagship activities of WeGO, including Capacity building projects, Feasibility Studies, the Seoul Smart City Prize, the WeGO Smart Cities Index, and WeGO Smart City Champions, were highlighted.
The WeGO Secretariat extended its sincere appreciation to the delegation of Hue City for their interest in WeGO Membership. The WeGO Secretariat looks forward to welcoming Hue City to join the WeGO family and further exploring potential collaborations together.
