WeGO partners with Smart Cities Council for smart cities activator
July 10, 2019
WASHINGTON, DC – WeGO has entered into an agreement with US-based knowledge partner Smart Cities Council to develop a product that will enable cities to accelerate the planning and implementation of their smart city projects.
The agreement, concluded on the sidelines of the WeGO-DC Smart City Roundtable, lays out a timeline for the joint development of a “smart cities activator,” an online system where WeGO members will have access project planning templates, search for prospective partners and solution providers, and exchange information with peers on ongoing and completed projects. The smart cities activator will also be used to streamline processes for WeGO activities including its awards and feasibility study programs.
WeGO will organize a hands-on workshop at its Executive Committee (EXCOM) Meeting in Seongnam City on October 14-16, to train members in using the smart cities activator.
Founded in 2012, the Smart Cities Council is a global alliance that specializes in knowledge sharing and capacity building in the area of smart cities. It provides guidance to cities, carries out readiness workshops, and develops tools for multi-stakeholder planning.
