WeGO attends world’s leading real estate conference MIPIM

CANNES – WeGO has concluded a four-day trip to MIPIM, one of the leading international property market conferences held annually in Cannes, France.
MIPIM (Le marché international des professionels de l’immobilier) took place this year from March 12-15, and featured a real estate exhibition, conference, and networking event. The event served as a platform for cities to meet with investors, urban practitioners, and other professionals in the field. This year’s event was its 30th edition and attracted 26,000+ attendees in urban and real estate development.
The delegation representing WeGO, headed by its Program Manager, supported Seoul Housing Corporation (SH) at the Seoul Pavilion. Besides promotion of its President City Seoul’s leadership in the area of smart cities, WeGO took the opportunity to expand its visibility in Europe and gauge the possible benefits of the event available its other stakeholders.
Over the course of the event, WeGO met with city officials from Budapest, Copenhagen, Paris, Moscow, Tallinn, and Quebec, along with representatives from the Scottish Cities Alliance and companies active in smart city development. WeGO also presented on its activities in a one-on-one meeting with former UN Secretary General Ban-Ki moon, who delivered a keynote speech at the start of the program.
In addition to the main events, WeGO attended a series of side sessions and presented on its organization and President City Seoul’s smart city practices during a happy hour.
WeGO’s participation at MIPIM was coordinated this year in cooperation with Re-Imagining Cities Foundation, an MOU partner since November 2018.
