The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS) has launched the “Mobile Laboratory Unit” (MLU) that will provide free-of-charge home COVID-19 testing for the elderly and people with disabilities The ambulances, which have been rearranged to work as mobile COVID-19 testing units, are used to reach out to senior citizens and people with disabilities, allowing these people to stay at home while undergoing testing.
FEATURES
- Paramedics are kept safe and protected in high protective gear, while the ambulance is converted into a testing unit equipped with an auto-sterilization device, thermal scanners, Emirates ID card reader and safe storage cabins for collected samples.
ONGOING RESULTS
- The new service will help protect people at high risk and ease the burden of overcrowding in hospitals and testing centers.
