Two drone companies, KazUAV and Terra Drone Corporation, have collaborated to develop drones aimed to help Nur-Sultan police patrol and monitor illegal border movement and limit the spread of COVID-19. As drones allow for contactless aerial surveillance, human-to-human contact is expected to be minimized, resulting in effective virus control.
FEATURES
- Using drone-mounted cameras with both visible and infrared sensors, the KazUAV team is capable of broadcasting all captured data near the border area, including the exact coordinates of the objects of interest, directly to the government’s corresponding departments.
ONGOING RESULTS
- This has helped the authorities track attempts to illegally cross the virus checkpoints and discover multiple bypass roads and irregularities in the lockdown area, resulting in better control of the virus within the country.
