WeGO expanding its network in Central Asia
SEOUL, FEBRUARY 09, 2023 – WeGO had a very fruitful meeting with the delegation from Bishkek city, led by deputy mayor Mr. Shamyraliev Zhyrgalbek.
It was the Secretariat’s pleasure to discuss the collaboration direction with the city and high-level representatives from the Kyrgyz State Technical University. Several topics were discussed during the meeting, including but not limited to Smart Energy Management, Traffic Management, and Smart Air quality tracking Systems. Mr. Shamyraliev Zhyrgalbek highlighted that Bishkek has an interest to join WeGO and participate in matchmaking and capacity-building programs. Kyrgyz State Technical University, on the other hand, showed an interest to join the WeGO Champions program in 2023.
The Secretary General of WeGO invited the deputy mayor to apply for the Seoul Smart City Prize and visit Seoul in September to join to the WeGO 6th General Assembly and WCS Mayors Forum.
To gain more benefits from WeGO, Bishkek City is welcome to further explore the opportunity of joining WeGO.
