WeGO Engages in Seoul Sustainable Tourism Conference 2023
Seoul, November 16, 2023 – In the wake of the global COVID-19 pandemic, Seoul has set its ambitious sights on welcoming 30 million tourists as the world begins to recover. Embracing the challenges posed by the unprecedented crisis, we find ourselves at the dawn of a new era in tourism.
The Seoul Sustainable Tourism Conference 2023, a pivotal event in this transformative journey, brought together global leaders, innovators, and organizations dedicated to shaping a sustainable future for tourism.
The conference marked a critical juncture where participants engaged in a collective reevaluation of tourism through a broader lens. The shift in perspective not only urged individuals to reflect on their personal relationship with tourism but also prompted a collective introspection on a societal level.
WeGO, known for its commitment to advancing smart cities and sustainable development, actively contributed to the discussions at the conference. As the world redefines its approach to tourism, WeGO emphasized the importance of leveraging technology and innovative governance models to build resilient, inclusive, and sustainable tourism ecosystems.
The end of the pandemic symbolizes more than just a return to normalcy; it signifies an opportunity for a renewed commitment to responsible tourism. WeGO believes that by fostering a holistic view of tourism—one that considers the impact on individuals and communities alike—we can pave the way for a more sustainable and equitable future.
As Seoul positions itself as a beacon for responsible tourism, WeGO remains dedicated to collaborating with cities and local governments worldwide, fostering a global community committed to shaping the future of tourism for the benefit of all.
