SEOUL – WeGO’s new Secretary General Jung Sook Park had a bilateral meeting with Moon-Kyu Bang, the President of the Export–Import Bank of Korea (KEXIM).

During the meeting at KEXIM’s headquarters in Seoul, SG Park presented WeGO’s achievements for the past ten years, vision to 2030, and her new initiative. “WeGO was established by 50 founding members in 2010, and now has grown into an international smart city organization with more than 200 members around the world. WeGO has been leading the smart city agenda even before the concept of the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR) was introduced. As a Public Private Partnership (PPP) consultative body, we serve as the international platform to facilitate the worldwide transformation of cities into smart and sustainable ones.”

KEXIM is an official export credit agency providing comprehensive export loan and guarantee programs to support Korean enterprises conducting business overseas, as well as overseas investment financing, import financing, and financial advisory and structuring services aimed to exploit business opportunities abroad.

The meeting focused on WeGO-KEXIM cooperation on identification and development of joint projects on smart sustainable cities by creating a win-win synergy between KEXIM and WeGO members.
