18 cities awarded for their smart initiatives

SEOUL – The results of the 4th WeGO Awards were announced today. This edition of the WeGO Awards was the fourth one, since it was established in 2011 to recognize and promote smart initiatives which use ICT to improve the quality of life of citizens.

Out of the 52 applications from 18 countries around the world—the majority from Asia-Pacific and Latin America—18 were selected by the judges to receive the prizes of ‘Gold Award’, ‘Silver Award’, or ‘Special Mention’.

More information about the winning projects in the form of short summaries, along with official statistics will be released soon.

The award ceremony will take place during the 5th General Assembly of WeGO, which will have its date and location decided at the upcoming EXCOM Meeting.
