WeGO welcomed the Quezon City delegation of 40 government officials led by the Vice-Mayor Mr. Gian Carlo Sotto attending WeGO 2024 Activities Kick off event in person. Following their participation in the WeGO kick-off event, the delegation from Quezon City took part in a collaborative session with the speakers from the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Tourism Organization.

WeGO 2024 Activities Kick-Off event gathered members and partners both virtually and in person with the primary objective to present new key agendas, programs, and events for implementation in the smart city area throughout 2024. The event was held on the theme of “Smart Life in a Smart City”. Around 200 WeGO members, partners, and stakeholders, participated in the event.

WeGO and the Embassy of Ecuador Conclude Successful Meeting on AME Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)

The outcomes of the meeting were highly promising, with AME expressing strong interest in becoming a WeGO member. Plans were discussed for a prospective visit to South Korea in May 2024 to have an official MoU signing ceremony, potentially involving five mayors and the president of AME.
