Sung Jin Kang

Sung Jin Kang is a Professor in the Department of Economics, the director of Institute for Economic Research, and the director of Graduate School of Energy and Environment Global Energy Technology Policy Professionals Program (GETPPP) at Korea University. Before he joined Korea University in 2003, he has worked at University of Tsukuba (1999-2003) in Japan after receiving Ph.D. in Economics at Stanford University. His main research fields are issues on sustainable development, green growth, climate change, and economic development (foreign direct investment, poverty reduction and foreign aid). He has filled various government posts in succession: a member of policy consultant committee of ministry of education, science and technology, a member of policy consultant committee of ministry of unification, and an advisor of national research council for economics, humanities and social science, etc.
