The 4th WeGO General Assembly
The 4th WeGO General Assembly a triennial international assembly of high-level officials, from Mayors to Chief Information Officers, to celebrate their achievements in e-Government and Smart City initiatives as well as to convene on key agenda of WeGO. With the successful completion of the 1st WeGO General Assembly in Seoul, Korea (2010), the 2nd in Barcelona, Spain (2012), and the 3rd in Chengdu, China (2014), WeGO warmly invites members and non-member cities alike interested in e-Government, ICT, and Smart Cities to the 4th WeGO General Assembly in the Ulyanovsk Region, Russia!
The WeGO Smart Sustainable City Awards was established in 2011 to recognize and promote outstanding ICT and e-Government practices of cities and local governments around the world. Through this regular international competition, the WeGO Smart Sustainable City Awards aims to encourage the incorporation of innovative ICT for the enhancement of administrative efficiency; increase citizens’ access to public services; and share knowledge on Smart City strategies actively. The WeGO Smart Sustainable City Awards Panel of Judges determine the winners in each of the five specific WeGO Awards Categories of (1) Open City, (2) Digital Inclusion, (3) Innovative Smart City, (4) Sustainable City, (5) e-Government Service, and (6) Cooperative City.
The City e-Government Diagnostic Solution (CeDS) Online Platform was developed and designed specifically for cities. Taking holistic factors beyond technology into account, it is a fast and user-friendly diagnostic tool for cities to self-assess the maturity level of their e-Government system and fill any gaps in their city e-services in a cost-efficient manner.
WeGO, in collaboration with its Technical Partner, National Information Society (NIA), will provide a comprehensive Technical Training and Service Program on the WeGO e-Government Framework (WeGO eGovFrame) to help its member cities develop Web and mobile e-Government applications based on the WeGO eGovFrame.
The WeGO e-Newsletter is issued on a quarterly basis by the WeGO Secretariat and updates WeGO members and partners on upcoming events and recent highlights at WeGO, as well as featuring news from the WeGO Regional Offices and WeGO partners like UNDPADM.
